Testimony Life Resources

Drug/Alcohol Outpatient

Life is overwhelming.  Addiction is often-times a substitute for the love, community and connections that we long for. Outpatient programs emphasize breaking a commitment to a substance or behavior and making a new personal commitment to a healthier future.

Testimony Life’s Addiction Program focuses on:

  • Developing healthy relationships, lifestyles, and habits.
  • Determining underlying reasons for the addiction (i.e., Dual Diagnosis)

The 12 Steps are an essential component of Testimony’s Outpatient Program. When dealing with Addiction, creating balance of Counseling, Adventure, and Soul is critical to sustained recovery. Our goal with every client is to address the issues and provide support in the efforts to change, eventually achieving transformation. Our staff walks alongside the person in recovery, offering guidance into a new way of life.

Taking the first step:

What sets Testimony apart from other places is that we “hand hold” the person through the first steps of recovery.  We provide one-on-one support in taking the following steps:

  • Finding the appropriate meeting to suites individual needs
  • Attend meetings for support and encouragement
  • Finding a sponsor
  • Developing and establishing new friendships within the recovery community
  • Obtaining recovery materials
  • Getting connected and serve
  • Finding a recovery spiritual group, if desired

Groups and Meetings:

In addition to attending 12 step groups, outpatient clients will also participate in Process Groups.

Process Groups are vital because of the wholeness and balance that is a crucial part of recovery and maintaining sobriety. Process groups are comprised of people who may or may not have struggled with an addiction.  Process Groups integrate a broad spectrum of individuals with a variety of life experiences such as: Divorces, Eating disorder, loss of a child, self-isolation, depression, anger. Whatever the issue, the Process Group provides a place where people can learn from one another’s stories and process life together.
